On Thursday, September 26, Tony-winning songwriting team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime) kicked off their six-performance series of Nice Fighting You: A 30th Anniversary Celebration at 54 Below, alongside a few of their favorite Broadway colleagues.
Joining the pair in their first performance were Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Tony nominee Liz Callaway (Baby), Tony winner LaChanze (who will return to Broadway later this season in If/Then), Drama Desk nominee Kecia Lewis (The Drowsy Chaperone), Sean McCourt (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), Tony winner Brian Stokes Mitchell (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), two-time Tony nominee Mary Testa (Anna Nicole), and Tony Award-winning musical director Ted Sperling (The Light in the Piazza).
