His many film and television credits include The Girl Is Mine, The Yellow Rolls-Royce, Charlie Bubbles, Middlemarch, and The Wind in the Willows.
He is survived by his wife Pat, their sons Simon and Patrick, and two grandchildren, Katie and Anna.
