ABC’s Modern Family to Receive One Hour Season Premiere September 21

The Emmy Award-winning ABC comedy Modern Family will make its season premiere with a special one-hour episode on September 21, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series focuses on a patriarch, his two children, and their respective families, all of whom live in the same housing development. The principal cast includes stage veterans Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Sofia Vergara, along with co-stars Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet, and Julie Bowen.

ABC has also announced the premiere dates for numerous shows in its 2011-2012 season, including Dancing with the Stars (September 19), Grey’s Anatomy (two-hour premiere, September 22), Desperate Housewives (September 25), Private Practice (September 29), Last Man Standing (October 11), and more.
