Halley Feiffer stars in her own play, running through October 8.
Previews recently began for the Geffen Playhouse production of Halley Feiffer's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City, and the comedy has released new production photos in advance of a September 13 opening night.
Feiffer also stars as in the production under the direction of Trip Cullman. She is joined by Jason Butler Harner as Don, JoBeth Williams as Marcie, and Eileen T’Kaye as Geena. Set at New York City's Memorial Sloan Kettering, the work tells the story of Karla (Feiffer) and Don, who find themselves unlikely friends while their ailing mothers share a hospital room.
The production has scenic design by Lauren Helpern, costume design by David Kay Mickelsen, lighting by Matthew Richards, and sound by Darron L. West.
