Philly’s oldest theater kicks off the holiday season in style.
A Christmas Story, The Musical is now in performances at Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre. Based on the popular 1983 holiday film, the musical adaptation makes its Philly debut, following a Tony-nominated Broadway debut in 2012.
With a book by Joseph Robinette and a Tony-nominated score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the cast features Christopher Sutton as the head of the Parker family household, along with his real-life wife, Lyn Philistine, as Mother, and Craig Mulhern Jr. and Liam Keenan sharing the role of Ralphie, the wide-eyed boy who dreams of getting a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas.
Directed by James Rocco and choreographed by Linda Goodrich, the Walnut Street production opens November 18 and is set to run through January 10, 2016.
