”The Carole King Musical” celebrates its second year on Broadway.
The Broadway production of Beautiful — The Carole King Musical celebrated its second anniversary on Tuesday, January 12, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The production officially opened on January 12, 2014.
Leading the show's company are Chilina Kennedy (Carole King), Scott J. Campbell (Gerry Goffin), Tony nominees Anika Larsen (Cynthia Weil), Jarrod Spector (Barry Mann), and Liz Larsen (Genie Klein), and Paul Anthony Stewart (Don Kirschner). The ensemble is made up of Gisela Adisa, J. Daughtry, Josh Davis, Kevin Duda, James Harkness, Brittney Johnson, Sara King, Julia Knitel, Mike Longo, Douglas Lyons, Rob Marnell, Gabrielle Reid, Rashidra Scott, Sara Sheperd, Kimber Sprawl, Yasmeen Sulieman, Melvin Tunstall, and Alan Wiggins.

With a book by Tony and Academy Award nominee Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni, and choreography by Josh Prince, the score of Beautiful features a collection of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, and Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.
