Musicals Tonight! has announced casting for Panama Hattie, to run October 12-23 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre. Thomas Sabella Mills will direct the production, which will have musical direction by David B. Bishop.
With a score by Cole Porter, the musical centers on a nightclub singer in Panama City, who’s trying to fit into the elite world to which Nick, her fiancé, Nick belongs. Her prospective marriage hinges on the approval of his precocious 8-year-old daughter, as well as his boss.
The company will feature Julie Cardia (Hattie Maloney), Paul Anthony Stewart (Nick), Madeleine Rose Yen (Gerry), Jackson R. Best (Vivian Budd) Lara Seibert (Florrie), Daren Kelly (Randolph), Victoria Huston-Elem (Leila), Claire Russell (Kitty-Belle),, Allison Maldonado (Mildred, Antonio Addeo (Woozy), John Bambery (Skat), William Nash(Windy), along with Anne Marie Behr, Matthew Conti, Greg Etling, Jefferson Grubbs, Vanessa Hernandez, Annemarie Rosano, and Christopher Woods.
