Will Chase to Briefly Fill In For Matthew Broderick in Nice Work If You Can Get It

Will Chase will fill in for star Matthew Broderick in
the Broadway production of the new musical Nice Work If You Can Get It, at the Imperial Theatre, August 21-26, during Broderick’s vacation — with Broderick to return on August 28.

The musical features music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, with a book by Joe DiPietro, and direction and choreography by Kathleen Marshall.

The show co-stars Kelli O’Hara as Billie Bendix, along with 2012 Tony Award winners Judy Kaye and Michael McGrath, Terry Beaver, Robyn Hurder, Stanley Wayne Mathis, Estelle Parsons, Jennifer Laura Thompson, and Chris Sullivan.

The cast also features Cameron Adams, Clyde Alves, Kaitlyn Davidson, Jason DePinto, Kimberly Faure, Robert Hartwell, Stephanie Martignetti, Barrett Martin, Michael X. Martin, Adam Perry, Jeffrey Schecter, Jennifer Smith, Joey Sorge, Samantha Sturm, Kristen Beth Williams, and Candice Marie Woods.

The production features scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Martin Pakledinaz, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski, sound design by Brian Ronan and orchestrations by Bill Elliott. The music supervisor is David Chase and the music director Tom Murray.

Chase’s many stage credits include Lennon, Bells Are Ringing, Rent, The Story of My Life and Billy Elliot. He will star this fall in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood. His television credits include Smash and Pan Am.
