The U.S. National Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jim Steinman’s musical, Whistle Down The Wind, directed by Bill Kenwright, has announced its final stops. After concluding its current run at Boston’s Wang Center on February 3, the show will play Philadelphia’s Merriam Theatre, February 5-10, and the Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, Virginia, February 12-17.
The musical tells the story of Swallow, a sixteen year-old girl from Louisiana, who finds a mysterious stranger hiding in her barn. When she asks his identity–the first words he utters are “Jesus Christ;” and it’s as if all her prayers have been answered. While the townspeople are determined to find the escaped felon, she and her friends vow to protect him from the outside world.
The show stars Whitney Bashor, Eric Kunze, Al Bundonis, Dann Fink, Nadine Jacobson, Carole Denise Jones, Gerry McIntyre, Stuart Metcalf, Adam Shonkwiler, Matt Skrincosky, Greg Stone, and Austin J. Zambito-Valente.
