Walter Bobbie to Launch "Talkback Tuesdays" for Broadway's Chicago
The series is designed to provide theatergoers with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of Chicago.
Bobbie, who won a Tony for his direction of Chicago, was also nominated for the books of Footloose and A Grand Night for Singing. He will direct the upcoming Broadway production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, and additional Main Stem directing credits include High Fidelity, Sweet Charity, and Twentieth Century.
Chicago features a score by John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, including such hits as "All That Jazz," "Mister Cellophane," "Razzle Dazzle," and "Nowadays." The production won six 1997 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical. The show currently stars Michelle DeJean as Roxie Hart, Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, Tom Wopat as Billy Flynn, Kevin Chamberlin as Amos Hart, and Carol Woods as Matron "Mama" Morton. Bianca Marroquin will return to the role of Roxie on September 15.
