Vaudeville Nouveau to End Three-Year Run on August 14

Vaudeville Nouveau: an Extravaganza of Burlesque Proportions will end its three-year run at the Workshop Theater Company’s Main Stage, with a grand closing weekend, August 12-14, at 8pm.

The three closing weekend shows will be completely different. Thursday’s line-up includes burlesque artists Miss Mary Cyn, Misty Lux and Nasty Canasta, Adam (“The First Real Man”) Rinn and magician Albert Cadabra. Friday’s show features burlesque artists Dangrrr Doll, Fifi Dupree and Lily Stitches, magician and mind reader Patrick Terry and Albert Cadabra – with special guest Annie Lebeaux, singing her signature vaudeville ditties. Saturday’s roster stars burlesque artists Boo Bess, Cherrie Canary, Runaround Sue and Victoria Privates, “rappist” Schäffer the Darklord and comic Bastard Keith.

Vaudeville Nouveau opened on August 10, 2007 as a collaboration between producer/director/actor/song-writer/musician Richard Kent Green, whose original ukulele songs appear in every show, and producer/actor/illusionist/sideshow artist Nelson Lugo. The monthly variety show has featured a rotating cast of performers, co-hosted by Mssrs Green and Lugo.

Prizes worth $100 and more are raffled off at each performance. Proceeds from the production benefit WorkShop Theater Company.
