The Entertainment, Media, and Communications Division of the UJA-Federation of New York will honor award-winning actress Christine Lahti and Showtime chairman and CEO Matthew C. Blank at a special event on Thursday, April 10.

The event will begin with a VIP cocktail reception at 6pm at the Rhiga Royal (151 West 54th Street, between Sixth and Seventh avenues). It will be followed by the awards presentation and the premiere screening of the new Showtime original picture Out of the Ashes, in which Lahti stars, at 7:30pm in the Equitable Building (787 Seventh Avenue at 51st Street). Based on the book by Dr. Gisella Perl, Out of the Ashes tells the story of how Perl survived the Holocaust and set up a medical practice in the United States. The movie will have its Showtime premiere on Sunday, April 13, at 8pm.

Lahti has appeared on Broadway in such shows as The Heidi Chronicles and Present Laughter; her Off-Broadway credits include The Exonerated, Three Hotels, Little Murders, The Country Girl, and The Woods. She is also well known for her work in film and television, including the TV series Chicago Hope.

Tickets for the April 10 event start at $150. For reservations or more information, contact Steven Singer at 212-836-1452. For additional information about the UJA-Federation, visit the website www.ujafedny.org/.
