Tony Winner Frank Wood Will Be Featured In The 52nd Street Project’s Apples and Oranges, The Incomparable Plays, Pairing Kids With Theater Professionals

Apples and Oranges, The Incomparable Plays, a new production from the 52nd Street Project in Hell’s Kitchen, will play four performances, December 5-December 8 at Five Angels Theater. This series is created by Hell’s Kitchen kids (teamed with theater professionals) and performed by a cast of adult performers.

The cast will include Clea Alsip, Farah Bala, Pun Bandhu, Lisa Benavides-Nelson, Lauren Blumenfeld, Bree Elrod, Carson Elrod, Emma Galvin, Sarah Nina Hayon, Ben Mehl, Genesis Oliver, Carra Patterson, Natalie Paul, Christopher Randolph, Grace Rex, Will Rogers, Matthew Saldívar, Debargo Sanyal, Stephen Tyrone Williams, and Tony Award winner Frank Wood.

Apples and Oranges, The Incomparable Plays are the 2013 installment of the 52nd Street Project’s annual Fall Playmaking Shows. They feature The Project’s youngest mentees — ten-year-olds who have just begun their theatrical education — revealing their work to a public audience for the first time.

The children whose work will be showcased in the program are Raymond Alameda, Adam Alkindi, Joshua Gomez, Tiffany Miller, Ahmed Musa, Kayla Ortiz, Emily Roman, Dimitri Smallwood, Dariana Lugo-Vargas, and Kaylee Zambrano.
