Tony Shalhoub and Brooke Adams to Star in Samuel Beckett's Happy Days
The Flea Theater will present the New York premiere of the Theatre @ Boston Court’s production of Happy Days by Samuel Beckett. Broadway veteran married duo Brooke Adams (Lend Me a Tenor) and Tony Award nominee Tony Shalhoub (Act One) star in the production, which has enjoyed runs in Boston and Los Angeles. Previews begin June 20 with opening night set for June 29. Andrei Belgrader directs.
Adams plays Winnie, "a woman buried up to her bosom in a mound of dirt with nothing to pass the time but the ragged contents of her bag, her nimble wit, and her husband Willie (Shalhoub), lurking somewhere behind her."
The show's creative team includes Takeshi Kata (scenic design), Tom Ontiveros (lighting design), Melanie Watnick (costume design), and Rob Oriol (sound design).
Based in Pasadena, California, the Theatre @ Boston Court aims to produce passionate, artist-driven theater that challenges both artist and audience, urging its artists to fearlessly and passionately pursue their unique voice.
