TheaterMania Takes to the Streets at Annual Block Party

Broadway stars were on hand for the yearly event.

TheaterMania's annual block party and street fair was held Sunday, September 11, as part of the Third Avenue Community Fair. As with past years, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce dedicated an entire city block to the celebration of theater around New York City.

The centerpiece of the street fair was TheaterMania's free concert, which took place from noon to 5pm. The magician Amazing Max hosted. The concert featured performances by Broadway shows Cirque du Soleil Paramour, Chicago, and Waitress as well as the Saunders Siblings, Jay Armstrong Johnson (On the Town), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, the Little Orchestra Society, A Taste of Things to Come, and Rock Star Karaoke.

TheaterMania's block was located between 74th and 75th Streets on Third Avenue. The party also featured attractions such as contests, interactive games, giveaways, and insider information about the latest happenings on the New York City theater and performing-arts scene.
