Richard Kind and Fisher Stevens to Guest Star in Stories Left to Tell
The show is co-conceived by Gray's widow, Kathleen Russo, and Lucy Sexton, who also directs. The pair has assembled both renowned work of the late author and playwright -- including excerpts from pieces such as Swimming to Cambodia and Monster in a Box -- along with never-before-seen work to chronologically tell the story of Gray's life. He committed suicide in 2004 after a two-year-battle with depression caused by a head injury sustained in a car accident in Ireland. An earlier version of the piece was seen at PS 122 and UCLA's Freud Playhouse in Los Angeles.
Kind, who will perform February 20-25, has starred on Broadway in The Producers, Sly Fox, and The Tale of the Allergist's Wife. Stevens, who will perform February 28-March 8, appeared on Broadway in Torch Song Trilogy, Carousel, and Brighton Beach Memoirs. He is also a founding member of Naked Angels.
