Joel Drake Johnson’s dark comedy also stars Darren Goldstein and Patricia Conolly.

The New Group's production of Joel Drake Johnson's Rasheeda Speaking celebrated its opening night at the Pershing Square Signature Center on February 11. The dark comedy, which began performances on January 27, runs through March 22.

Directed by Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Cynthia Nixon, the four-character production stars Dianne Wiest as Ileen and Tonya Pinkins as Jackie, a pair of doctor's office receptionists who engage in a battle of wills when Dr. Williams (Darren Goldstein) decides to fire Jackie and enlists Ileen to help him find fault with her. Patricia Conolly completes the cast.
