The stars of the New Group's upcoming production of Joel Drake Johnson's Rasheeda Speaking met the press at their rehearsal studio on January 14. Directed by Cynthia Nixon, the limited off-Broadway engagement will run from January 27-March 22 at the Pershing Square Signature Center, with opening night set for February 11.

In Rasheeda Speaking, Ileen and Jaclyn have developed a bond in the six months they've worked together at the front desk of Dr. Williams' office, but when the doctor decides to get rid of Jaclyn, he enlists Ileen to help him find fault with her. The play is described as an "incisive and crisply funny look at the unspoken tensions buried inside our 'post-racial' America."

The cast comprises Tonya Pinkins (Jaclyn), Dianne Wiest (Ileen), Patricia Conolly (Rose), and Darren Goldstein (Dr. Williams).
