Paul Sparks Joins Cast of Guare’s Landscape of the Body

Paul Sparks will appear with Sherie Rene Scott and Lili Taylor in the Signature Theatre Company production of John Guare’s Landscape of the Body, March 28-May 21. The show will be directed by Michael Greif (Rent); the cast also includes Jonathan Fried and Bernard White.

In the play, set in Greenwich Village in the 1970s, several mysterious and seemingly isolated events connect a group of people on a nightmarish quest for the American Dream. Guare’s other works include The House of Blue Leaves, Six Degrees of Separation, and Two Gentlemen of Verona.

Sparks received Drama Desk Award nominations for his work in Coyote on a Fence, Blackbird, and Orange Flower Water. He was also part of the Broadway company of Take Me Out. Fried and White have both worked at The Public Theater. Scott is currently starring in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, for which she received a Tony Award nomination as Best Actress in a Musical. Taylor appeared Off-Broadway in Aunt Dan and Lemon and Dead Eye Boy; she is well known for her film work, including a memorable turn as Valerie Solanas in I Shot Andy Warhol.
