Hair Live! Artwork Is Unveiled

NBC has unveiled the new key art for their upcoming broadcast of Hair Live!

Set for broadcast on Sunday, May 19, 2019, in front of a live audience, Hair veteran Diane Paulus (her 2009 production won the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical) directs the production alongside Alex Rudzinski, who will serve as live television director.

Hair features a book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni, and music by Galt MacDermot, Hair's score features musical numbers such as "Let the Sunshine In," "Aquarius," "Hair," and "Good Morning Starshine."

The musical premiered at the Public Theater in 1967 and tells the story of a group of hopeful, free-spirited young people who advocate a lifestyle of pacifism and free love in a society riddled with intolerance and brutality during the Vietnam War.
