Lea DeLaria, Nathan Lee Graham, Alexandra Silber to Star in Amandine World Premiere

Casting has been announced for Winter Miller and Lance Horne’s world premiere musical Amandine, which will play at the Cherry Lane Theatre, January 8-26. Drama Desk Award winner Josh Hecht will direct the production,

The show, which is inspired by the incredible memoirs of Herculine Barbin, a 19th-century intersex person, focuses on Amandine, who was born intersex, yet raised as a girl in the most traditional and cloistered of settings.

The cast will feature Broadway veterans Lea DeLaria, Nathan Lee Graham, and Alexandra Silber, all of whom will play characters of both genders.

Miller, who wrote the book, is known for such plays as In Darfur, The Penetration Play, The Arrival, Paternity, Home/Away, and Conspicuous.

Horne is a popular composer who has worked with such performers as Alan Cumming and Meow Meow. He has received a Daytime Emmy for Best Original Song, the Jonathan Larson Award, and a Bistro Award, among many other honors. His debut album First Things Lastwas released on Yellow Sound Label.
