Kyle Dean Massey to Re-Join Broadway’s Wicked on July 31

Kyle Dean Massey will return to the Broadway company of Wicked at the Gershwin Theatre in the role of Fiyero on Tuesday, July 31. Richard H. Blake, who is currently playing the role, will end his run on July 29.

Massey last appeared as Fiyero in the Broadway production in the spring of 2011, and has played the role on tour. His other credits include Next to Normal, Xanadu, Altar Boyz, and Lucky Guy.

Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel of the same name, Wicked tells the untold story of the witches of Oz, and how they grew to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. The musical features a score by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

The current Broadway cast features Jackie Burns as Elphaba, Chandra Lee Schwartz as Glinda, Randy Danson as Madame Morrible, Adam Grupper as The Wizard, Etai BenShlomo as Boq, Jenny Fellner as Nessarose, and Tom Flynn as Dr. Dillamond.
