Acclaimed cabaret artist KT Sullivan will be the first performer to play Kathleen Downey’s Granite Room, located in the downstairs part of City Hall Restaurant (131 Duane Street), on successive Thursdays, August 20-September 10, at 8 pm.

Sullivan will concentrate on “old” songs, some dating back to the late 1800s, featuring works by Victor Herbert and Sigmund Romberg, as well as a Merry Widow aria, to George M. Cohan and early works of Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Cole Porter. Sullivan will perform without a microphone in this intimate venue. Jon Weber will serve as accompanist, and will also provide special musical interpretations during dinner.

The Granite Room will open at 5:30 pm, with dinner and show packages available. To reserve, call City Hall Restaurant at 212-227-7777.
