The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center presented stage and screen favorite Judith Light with its 17th Monte Cristo Award during a ceremony yesterday, May 21, at 583 Park Avenue. Thomas Kail, an O'Neill alum who directed Light on Broadway in Lombardi, presented the award.
Guests included Light's Ugly Betty costar Michael Urie, Shakina Nayfack, Lena Hall, Tom Kitt, Margo Seibert, Tom Viertel, Susan Blackwell, and more.
Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Judith Light has appeared on Broadway in plays including Lombardi, Other Desert Cities, The Assembled Parties, and Thérèse Raquin. Light's long TV career has included lead roles in Who's the Boss?, Ugly Betty, and Transparent.
