Full Cast Set for George Street’s Falsettos

Casting is now complete for the upcoming production of the Tony Award-winning musical Falsettos at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The show, to be directed by David Saint, will run April 10-May 6 and will open officially on April 13.

Colin Hanlon will play Whizzer, Liz Larsen will play Trina, Sarah Litzsinger will play Cordelia, Malcolm Morano will play Jason, Anne L. Nathan will play Charlotte, Mark Nelson will play Mendel, and Michael Winther will play Marvin; Winther replaces the previously announced Max Von Essen, who had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict.

With a score by William Finn and a book by Finn and James Lapine, Falsettos combines two musicals, March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland. It tells the story of what happens when Marvin, a young Jewish man, leaves his wife and son and ends up living with Whizzer, a handsome man who eventually develops AIDS.

The show received seven Tony Award nominations in 1992, including Best Musical, and won for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score.
