Drama Book Shop to Host Presentation on Arthur Miller, Led by Mel Gussow

In honor of the publication of Conversations with Miller, a new book featuring interviews with Arthur Miller, author and theater critic Mel Gussow will offer a presentation on the life and career of the legendary playwright on Thursday, October 17, from 5pm to 7pm in the Arthur Seelen Theatre at The Drama Book Shop. The program will include readings of famous scenes and monologues from Miller’s plays along with readings from the new book and commentary by Gussow. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Conversations with Miller, published by Applause Theatre and Cinema Books, contains interviews with the playwright that took place over the past 40 years. According to Drama Book Shop co-owner Allen Hubby, it is “a ‘must read’ for anyone interested in Miller [or] in American theater and anyone who is planning to direct or act in any of Miller’s works.”

The presentation is free and open to the public but seating is limited; phone 212-944-0595 for reservations. The Drama Book Shop and the Arthur Seelen Studio Theatre are located at 250 West 40th Street (between Seventh and Eighth avenues). For further information, visit the website www.dramabookshop.com.
