The Hudson Review will celebrate its 60th anniversary with Poetry into Music with Dana Gioia, an afternoon devoted to Gioia's poetry in which he reads from his work accompanied by world premieres of newly commissioned musical settings to his poetry by Milton Babbitt, Kirsten Childs, David Felder, Stephen Flaherty, John Harbison, and Jimmy Roberts. The event, which is part of Works & Process at the Guggenheim, will be presented in The Peter B. Lewis Theater of The Sackler Center for Arts Education at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Sunday, April 27 at 3pm.

Performers will include Judith Bettina, Daniel Druckman, Ethan Herschenfeld, Gregory Hesselink, Alan R. Kay, Jacqueline Leclair, Sarah Rothenberg, Lucy Shelton, Alysha Umphress, and Leon William. In addition, Rothenberg will moderate a discussion that will include Gioia and all of the composers.

Gioia's Interrogations at Noon won the American Book Award. In addition to his poetry, he is a critic, best-selling anthologist, and a long time commentator on American culture and literature for BBC Radio.
