Primary Stages will present "A Celebration of Elizabeth Wilson," a memorial tribute to the Tony Award-winning actress and Theatre Hall of Fame honoree, on June 29 at 2pm at NYU Skriball Center for the Performing Arts.

Cherry Jones, John Glover, Reed Birney, A.R. Gurney, Joyce Van Patten, Fritz Weaver, Casey Childs, Elizabeth Morton, and other friends and colleagues will offer tributes at the event, which is open to the public. Donations may be made in Wilson's memory to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Wilson served on the Primary Stages artistic advisory board at the time of the company's inception in 1984, and in 1989 she joined the Primary Stages board of directors, where she continued to serve until her death on May 9, 2015. Wilson made her Broadway debut in Picnic in 1952, won a Tony Award for her performance in Sticks and Bones in 1972, and was inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame in 2006.

"Elizabeth Wilson devoted her life, reverently so, to her work as an actress," said actress Elizabeth Morton, a close friend of Wilson. "The theater community was her extended family that captivated and delighted her to no end. She requested that any tribute given in her honor be held 'to celebrate a lucky life.' And so we will do just that."
