Casting Completed for National Tour of Twelve Angry Men
The Roundabout Theater Company has completed casting for its national touring production of Twelve Angry Men. Joining previously announced cast members Richard Thomas (Juror #8) and George Wendt (Juror #1) will be Randle Mell (Juror #3), Charles Borland (Juror #6), Todd Cerveris (Juror #2), T. Scott Cunningham (Juror #12), Julian Gamble (Juror #10), Jeffrey Hayenga (Juror #4), David Lively (Juror #11), Alan Mandell (Juror # 9), Mark Morettini (Juror #7), Patrick New (Guard), and Jim Saltouros (Juror #5).
As at the Roundabout, the show will be directed by Scott Ellis and will feature sets by Allen Moyer, costumes by Michael Krass, lighting by Paul Palazzo, and sound design by Brian Ronan.
Mell has been seen on Broadway in The Rainmaker, Macbeth, and Noises Off. Borland appeared in the Roundabout’s Twelve Angry Men on Broadway and was a standby in the company’s 2005 revival of A Streetcar Named Desire. Cerveris has performed on Broadway in Twentieth Century and Off-Broadway in Almost, Maine, The Booth Variations, and Time and the Conways. Cunningham’s Broadway credits include Love! Valour! Compassion!, Design For Living, and Tartuffe.
Among the Broadway shows on Gamble’s résumé are Democracy, The Invention of Love, and The Iceman Cometh. Hayenga has appeared on Broadway in The Elephant Man, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Ah, Wilderness!, and the Roundabout production of The Man Who Came to Dinner. Lively has performed extensively with the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Mandell appeared on Broadway in Impossible Marriage and Off-Broadway in The Beard of Avon and Waiting for Godot. Morettini was featured in Fox TV’s Prison Break. New and Saltouros have numerous regional credits.
The 30-week tour is scheduled to kick off on September 19 at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven. It will go on to play such cities as Washington D.C (at the Kennedy Center), Baltimore, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Miami, and Philadelphia.
