Canavan, Grant, Puzzo, et al. Cast in LAByrinth’s Penalties & Interest

Full casting has been announced for Rebecca Cohen’s Penalties & Interest, to be presented by LAByrinth Theater Company as the sixth play in the inaugural PUBLIC LAB series. John Gould Rubin will direct the production, which will run at The Public Theater June 10-28.

In this office comedy, Lollie, Lyle and Amy try to keep their heads above water, and their boss, Dick, bobs up when they least expect it.

The cast will include Julian Acosta, Elizabeth Canavan, Yetta Gottesman, Craig “muMs” Grant, and Michael Puzzo. The creative team will include Chris Barreca (scenic design), Oana Botez-Ban (costume design), Nicole Pearce (lighting design), and Betsy Rhodes (sound design).

Cohen wrote and performed the one-person show, Looking for Mr. Brady, and her other plays include Switzerland and As it were. Rubin created and directed Dreaming in Tongues, and directed the premieres of Stopless, The Trail of Her Inner Thigh, A Winter Party, and Mémoire (which he also co-created).
