Bogardus, Gets, Glover, and Walsh Head Cast of McNally’s Some Men in Philly

Stephen Bogardus, Malcolm Gets, John Glover, and Barbara Walsh head the cast of the Philadelphia Theatre Company’s world premiere production of Terrence McNally’s play, Some Men, to be presented May 12-June 11.

Also in the cast are Don Amendolia, Brandon Bales, Duane Boutte, Suzzanne Douglas, Tom Judson, Barbara Walsh, and Gregory Wooddell. The creative team includes Philip Himberg (direction), Sean Curran (musical staging), Don Rebic (music direction), Loy Arcenas (set design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), David Lander (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (sound design)

Some Men looks at the evolution of gay relationships and same-sex marriage in America. McNally is the winner of four Tony Awards; his previous work includes the plays Master Class, Love! Valour! Compassion!, Dedication, or the Stuff of Dreams, and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and the books for such musicals as Kiss of the Spider Woman and Ragtime.

Bogardus received a Tony Award nomination for Love! Valour! Compassion! and has starred on Broadway in Falsettos and High Society. Gets received a Tony nomination for Amour and co-starred in the City Center Encores! production of The Apple Tree. Glover won a Tony for Love! Valour! Compassion! and was last seen Off-Broadway in The Paris Letter. Walsh won a Tony for Falsettos and is currently appearing as Joanne in the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park production of Company.
