American Dance Machine for the 21st Century will return to New York City's Joyce Theater following a sold-out run last year. Performances are set to begin December 21 and run through January 3. Directed by Tony-winning choreographer Wayne Cilento (Wicked) with musical direction by Eugene Gwozdz (Duke Ellington Center for the Arts), all performances feature a live band.

Founded in 2012 by Nikki Feirt Atkins, American Dance Machine for the 21st Century is "dedicated to creating a living and vibrant archive of classic and current notable musical theater choreography." ADM21 is continuing the legacy of the late Lee Theodore, who established the American Dance Machine in 1976 out of concern that the artistry of each dance would vanish with the artists who created them.

This year's program will feature works from How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, West Side Story, Oklahoma!, A Chorus Line, The Will Rogers Follies, The Who's Tommy, Crazy for You, Promises, Promises.

Choreographers represented will include Mia Michaels, Wayne Cilento, Jerome Robbins, Agnes de Mille, Michael Bennett, Tommy Tune, and Susan Stroman, among others to be announced.
