Marylouise Burke, Darren Goldstein, Sofia Jean Gomez, Trisha Rodley, Will Rogers, and Jeremy Shamos will star in Heidi Schreck’s Creature, to play the Ohio Theatre, October 27-November 21. The production, which will open officially on November 2, will be directed by Leigh Silverman.
The show, which is being co-presented by Page 73 Productions and New Georges, is set in 1401, when a gorgeous young beer-brewer named Margery Kempe sets about trying to become a saint. Seduced by a vision of Jesus Christ in robes of purple — her favorite color — she battles her family, the church, and an intense appetite for earthly pleasures in an improbable bid for salvation.
