Harry Connick, Jr., Megan Mullally and
Kelli O’Hara performed at American Theatre Wing’s annual gala
Heart and Soul: The Legacy of Frank Loesser, which took place on Monday, June 7 at Cipriani 42nd Street.
The gala celebrated the centennial of composer Frank Loesser, and also honored the companies Loesser created: Music Theatre International and Frank Music Corp. Marc Bruni directed the evening, with musical direction by Rob Berman and lighting by Ken Billington.
Among the evening’s honorary chairs was ATW’s longest serving board member (and Frank’s widow) Jo Sullivan Loesser. Among the guests were Kate Burton, Valerie Harper, Angela Lansbury, Doug Leeds, and Jan Maxwell.
All proceeds will benefit the education and outreach programs of the American Theatre Wing. The organization is the founder and co-producer of the Tony Awards.
