Maxwell Caulfield and Amelia Campbell are set to star in the Off-Broadway production of Karoline Leach’s thriller Tryst, which will begin preview performances at the Promenade Theatre on March 21. Directed by Joe Brancato, the show will open officially on April 6.

Tryst tells the story of George, a handsome con man who woos love-starved women. When he meets Adelaide, a desperate shopgirl with her own dreams, a twist of fate occurs. The production’s design team includes David Korins (sets), Alejo Vietti (costumes), Jeff Nellis (lighting), and Johanna Doty (sound).

Caulfield has appeared on Broadway in An Inspector Calls and Off-Broadway in Entertaining Mr. Sloane, My Night With Reg, and Salonika. He starred in the film Grease 2 and the TV series Dynasty. Campbell received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Our Country’s Good and has also been seen on Broadway in Translations, The Herbal Bed, and A Small Family Business.
