Tracy Letts, John Judd, and Patrick Andrews will star in David Mamet’s American Buffalo when the Steppenwolf Theatre Company production transfers to the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, to run March 9-28. Amy Morton has directed.
The play is set in a cluttered, run-down Chicago junk shop, where three small-time crooks plot to steal a valuable buffalo nickel. Letts is best known as the Pulitzer Prize winning playwright of August: Osage County, which featured Morton (who was Tony-nominated for her performance).
The design team will include Kevin Depinet (sets), Nan Cibula-Jenkins (costumes), Pat Collins (lights), and Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen (sound and original music).
