Complete Casting Announced for Sweet Charity, Starring Laura Bell Bundy

Kathleen Marshall directs and choreographs the hit 1966 musical.

Complete casting has been announced for the Reprise 2.0 production of Sweet Charity, directed and choreographed by Tony winner Kathleen Marshall and running June 20-July 1 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

As previously announced, the cast will be led by Tony nominee Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde) as Charity, Barrett Foa (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) as Oscar, and Olivier nominee Jon Jon Briones (Miss Saigon) as Herman. The company will also feature Terron Brooks (The Lion King) as Daddy Brubeck, Krystal Joy Brown (Motown the Musical) as Helene, Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer (FOX's Grease: Live!) as Nickie, Ashley Loren (Jekyll & Hyde) as Ursula, and Robert Mammana (Les Misérables) as Vittorio.

Rounding out the ensemble will be Ari Aaron, Justin Badding, Claudia Baffo, Gillian Bozaijan, Victor Chan, Catriona Fray, Bella Hicks, Lucia Joyce, Jeffrey Landman, Ashley Matthews, Grayson McGuire, Amber Mercomes, Angeline Mirenda, Chuck Saculla, Evan Strand, and Louis Williams.

Sweet Charity will feature musical direction by Gerald Sternbach, scenic design by Stephan Gifford, costume design by Angela Calin, lighting design by Jared A. Sayeg, sound design by Jonathan Burke, hair design by Judi Lewin, and projection design by Ryan Marsh. Jessie Vacchiano serves as production stage manager and casting direction is by Michael Donovan.

Based on Federico Fellini's Nights of Cabiria, Sweet Charity centers on Charity's life as a dance hall hostess "with a heart of gold," determined to break out of the Fan-Dango Ballroom. The 1966 musical includes a book by Neil Simon, music by Cy Coleman, and lyrics by Dorothy Fields.
