Eric Idle, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and more stars round out the cast.

Christian Slater will star as Sir Galahad in the Hollywood Bowl production of Spamalot.

Film star Christian Slater has joined the cast of the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Monty Python's Spamalot. He takes on the role of Sir Galahad, played originally on Broadway by Tony nominee Christopher Sieber.

Slater's most notable film credits include Heathers, True Romance, Pump Up the Volume, Very Bad Things, Bobby, and Nymphomaniac. His upcoming projects include The Adderall Diaries and The Wife opposite Glenn Close. On television, he currently stars in Mr. Robot and stars as a voice in Archer.

The cast of Spamalot will also star Merle Dandridge as The Lady of the Lake (a role she also performed on Broadway), Warwick Davis (Harry Potter series) as Patsy, Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) as Sir Robin, original Python and the musical's creator Eric Idle as the Historian, and comedian Craig Robinson (The Office) as King Arthur.

Featuring a book and lyrics by Eric Idle and music by Idle and John Du Prez, Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and their quest for the Holy Grail, complete with lusty maidens, dancing divas, a killer rabbit, and a legless knight. The show made its Broadway debut in 2005, earning three Tony Awards, including the award for Best Musical.

Directed by B.T. McNicholl, Spamalot will have three performances at the Hollywood Bowl from July 31-August 2. The show will be conducted by Todd Ellison and choreographed by Scott Taylor.
