Ben Platt to Headline New Film Love & Oatmeal

Ben Platt has signed on to star in the new film Love & Oatmeal, according to Variety. Production is expected to begin this summer.
Directed by Peter Sattler and written by Steve Waverly, the movie follows Scott, a young aspiring writer forced to take in his mentally ill sister after the sudden death of their father. Additional information, including casting and a release date, are still to be announced.
Platt received a Tony Award for his performance in Dear Evan Hansen and will soon begin shooting the upcoming Netflix series The Politician.
