According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alec Baldwin will star in NBC's televised staging of Aaron Sorkin's military courtroom drama A Few Good Men. The 30 Rock star will play Col. Nathan Jessep, the role Jack Nicholson famously took on in Rob Reiner's 1992 film adaptation.

Executive-produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, and directed by She Love Me Tony nominee Scott Ellis, the live broadcast will air in 2018.

First produced on Broadway in 1989, A Few Good Men follows the court-martial of two U.S. Marines who killed a fellow Marine at the Guantánamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. Sorkin will pen the teleplay of the broadcast, as he did for the film version.
