Arthur Acuna, Kim Martin-Cotton, Lisa Tejero, and More Set for Goodman’s Ghostwritten

The cast and creative team are set for the Goodman Theatre’s world premiere of Naomi Iizuka’s Ghostwritten, to play the Owen Bruner Theatre, April 4-May 3. Lisa Portes will direct.

The play tells the story of Susan, a young American woman who travels to Vietnam, makes a deal with a mysterious woman, and then must grapple with her family’s thorny past when the woman comes to collect on her debt. The work will be presented as part of the Goodman’s “Strong Women, Strong Voices” series, focused on presenting and supporting work by women.

The cast will include Arthur Acuna (Linh), Dieterich Gray (Chad/Not Chad), Kim Martin-Cotton (Susan), Lisa Tejero (Woman from Vietnam), Tiffany Villarin (Bea), and Dan Waller (Martin). The creative team will feature Linda Buchanan (set), Rachel Healy (costumes), Keith Parham (lighting), and Andre J. Pluess (sound).

Iizuka’s other plays include Strike-Slip, 36 Views, Anon(ymous), Hamlet: Blood in the Brain, At the Vanishing Point, and Polaroid Stories.
