Tina Fey Campaigns to Join the Cast of Mean Girls on Saturday Night Live

This past weekend, Tina Fey returned to her roots to host the season finale of Saturday Night Live — and she couldn't go back without repping her Broadway show. Mean Girls is in contention for 12 Tony Awards, with nominations for Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score, and three acting awards. The musical clearly isn't broken, but Fey used her SNL air time to suggest one more way it could be fixed. And we can all thank Lin-Manuel Miranda for planting the inspirational seed.
