Jillian Mueller and Brennin Hunt to Take Over as Stars of Pretty Woman on Broadway

Hunt was recently seen as Roger in ”Rent” on Fox.

Broadway's Pretty Woman: The Musical has announced that original cast member Jillian Mueller will take over the role of Vivian, stepping into the iconic boots of both Julia Roberts (from the film version) and Samantha Barks, who plays her final performance in the show on July 21. Mueller will star opposite Brennin Hunt, who who was recently seen as Roger on Fox's live Rent, in the role of Edward. Hunt, who came to national attention as a contestant on X-Factor, is making his Broadway debut in the role.

Mueller and Hunt will begin performances on July 22, joining Orfeh as Kit, Eric Anderson as Mr. Thompson, Charlie Pollock as Philip Stuckey, and Kingsley Leggs as James Morse. Andy Karl will also play his final performance in Pretty Woman on July 21.

Based on the popular 1990 movie starring Roberts and Richard Gere, Pretty Woman features a book by original screenwriter J.F. Lawton and film director Garry Marshall, a score by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, and direction and choreography by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell. The musical's ensemble features Allison Blackwell, Tommy Bracco, Brian Calì, Robby Clater, Jessica Crouch, Nico DeJesus, Anna Eilinsfeld, Matt Farcher, Lauren Lim Jackson, Renée Marino, Ellyn Marie Marsh, Jillian Mueller, Jake Odmark, Jennifer Sanchez, Matthew Stocke, Alex Michael Stoll, Alan Wiggins, Jesse Wildman Foster, and Darius Wright.
