The musical’s revival cast recording has been released.
Christian Borle, Stephanie J. Block, and the cast of William Finn and James Lapine's musical Falsettos celebrated the show's newly released revivial cast recording on January 27 at Barnes & Noble. Finn and company members Anthony Rosenthal, Tracie Thoms, Brandon Uranowitz, and Betsy Wolfe also took part in the album signing.
The new Falsettos recording is first-ever full cast album of the musical, which combines the one-act musicals March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland. The Ghostlight Records album includes a 60-page full-color booklet with complete lyrics, production photos, and an essay from Lincoln Center Theater's producing artistic director, André Bishop, and musical-theater associate producer, Ira Weitzman. The cast album was produced by Kurt Deutsch with Lawrence Manchester serving as coproducer.
Falsettos played a limited run at the Walter Kerr Theatre from September 29, 2016-January 8, 2017. The story follows the life of a charming, intelligent, neurotic gay man named Marvin (Borle), his wife (Block), lover (Andrew Rannells), about-to-be-bar-mitzvahed son (Rosenthal), their psychiatrist (Uranowitz), and the lesbians next door (Thoms and Wolfe).
