The Broadway premiere of After Midnight celebrated its opening at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on November 3. Following the performance, the cast members and their guests gathered next door at the Copacabana to toast the new production. Directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, the musical revue celebrates the years that Duke Ellington spent as band leader at Harlem's famed Cotton Club. The company is led by Dulé Hill, Fantasia Barrino, and Adriane Lenox, with Karine Plantadit, Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, Julius "iGlide" Chisolm, Virgil "Lil' O" Gadson, and Jared Grimes.
