Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz will play Jeffrey Skilling, the disgraced former president of Enron Corp., in Lucy Prebble’s ENRON. Rupert Goold will direct the production which is scheduled to begin performances on April 8 at the Broadhurst Theatre.

Butz won a Tony Award for his performance in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He was was last seen on Broadway as Bobby Gould in the David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow. His other Broadway credits include Is He Dead?, Wicked, Rent and Thou Shalt Not. Last summer he was seen as Carl Hanratty in the new musical Catch Me if You Can in Seattle.

Inspired by the real-life financial scandal of 2001, the production features scenic and costume design by Anthony Ward, lighting by Mark Henderson, music and sound by Adam Cork, video and projection by Jon Driscoll, and movement by Scott Ambler.

The London production of the show, which has played the Chichester Festival and the Royal Court Theatre, will move to the West End’s Noel Coward Theatre on January 16.
