Harvard's American Repertory Theater has announced casting for its mounting of Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks' Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2, & 3), which recently closed its world premiere run at the Public Theater.

Set during the Civil War, the three plays of Father Comes Home From the Wars are presented in a single performance, directed by Jo Bonney. Performances are set to run January 23-March 1, 2015, at the Loeb Drama Center.

The production will star Benton Greene as the plays' central character Hero, joined by Sekou Laidlow, Harold Surratt, Michael Crane, and Charlie Hudson III. Reprising the roles they originated at the Public Theater will be Jenny Jules as Penny, Ken Marks as the Colonel, Jacob Ming-Trent as Odyssey Dog, and Julian Rozell Jr. and Tonye Patano as Runaway Slaves.

The creative team includes set design by Neil Patel, costume design by ESosa, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu, sound design and music supervision by Dan Moses Schreier, and songs and additional music by Suzan-Lori Parks. The music is arranged and performed by Steven Bargonetti.
