Breaking Bad Star Bryan Cranston, Michael McKean, and More Celebrate the Arrival of All the Way at A.R.T.

There’s nothing like an all-American barbecue to ring in an all-American play.

On August 15, A.R.T. hosted an “All the Way Meat and Greet BBQ” to welcome the cast of All the Way to the Cambridge theater. Performances are set to begin on September 13, kicking off their 2013-14 season.

All the Way, written by Robert Schenkkan, follows President Lyndon B. Johnson’s first year in office in 1963, following President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Tony Award-winning director and A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus (Pippin), director Bill Rauch, and the cast of All the Way celebrated the arrival of the upcoming production in an all-American way, complete with paper plates and outdoor dining.

Attendees included Emmy Award-winning Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, who stars as LBJ in the play, along with Drama Desk winner Michael McKean (The Best Man), Obie Award winner Reed Birney (Picnic), Dakin Matthews (The Best Man), Arnie Burton (Peter and the Starcatcher), Brandon J. Dirden (The Piano Lesson), and the many other performers who will soon embody various historical figures on the stage of the Loeb Drama Center.
