Leslie Kritzer, Michael McGrath, Betsy Wolfe, et al. Set for Shakespeare Theatre Company’s The Boys From Syracuse

Shakespeare Theatre Company has announced casting for its concert staging of the musical The Boys From Syracuse, to run November 4-6 at Sidney Harman Hall. Alan Paul will direct the piece, which will be choreographed by Karma Camp and have music direction by George Fulginiti-Shakar.

The show, based on Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, has a score by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, and focuses on the confusion caused by unwitting reunion of two sets of twins in the same city. Among the classic songs in the show are “This Can’t Be Love,” “Falling In Love With Love,” and “Sing for Your Supper.”

The company will feature Anastasia Barzee as Adriana, Helen Carey as Seeress, Anderson Davis as Antipholus of Syracuse, Ben Davis as Antipholus of Ephesus, Natascia Diaz as Courtesan, Alexander Gemignani as Police Sergeant, Adam Heller as Dromio of Syracuse, John Horton as Aegeon, Nehal Joshi as Sorcerer, Leslie Kritzer as Luce, Michael McGrath as Dromio of Ephesus, Michael Nansel as Duke of Ephesus, Matt Pearson as Angelo, Tim Rogan as Corporal, Thomas Adrian Simpson as Tailor, and Betsy Wolfe as Luciana.

The ensemble will include Erica Hamilton, Benjamin Horen, Catherine LaFrere, Crystal Mosser, Rachel Nelson, and DeMoya Watson.

The creative team will be comprised of scenic designer James Noone, costume designer Tracy Christensen, lighting designer Nancy Schertler, and sound designer David Budries.
