David Snider Appointed Arena Stage’s Director of Artistic Programming

Arena Stageat the Mead Center for American Theater has announced that D.C.-area arts manager and artist David Snider will take over the role of director of artistic programming at the theater.

Snider has more than 20 years of experience as a director, educator, producer, administrator, and actor and is a directing fellow of the Drama League of New York, the immediate past president of the League of Washington Theatres, and a member of the National Arts Strategies’ Chief Executive Program. He will come to Arena from Young Playwrights’ Theater, where he has served as producing artistic director and CEO since 2005.

In his new position, Snider will report directly to artistic director Molly Smith and be responsible for implementing the artistic vision of Arena Stage by helping to develop the strategy and programming in order to advance the theater.
